Oak Kitchen installation – 2 bedroom Flat – Poplar E14

Orion Building Maintenance install kitchen and bathroom replacements for local authorities based in Poplar, London E14.  This project reflects Orion’s dedication to ensure we meet the needs of the tenant while keeping inline with the Local Authority’s specification guidelines and costs.

Once a kitchen has been agreed by the local authority Orion will contact the tenant to set up a pre planning meeting.

In attendance at the meeting will be Orion’s Contracts Manager who will measure up the kitchen and draw up an agreed kitchen plan.  The Contracts Manager will also go through the works planned and what the tenant can expect once works begin.

An electrician and gas engineer will also be at the meeting to go through the works they will be expected to do, such as fitting a new smoke alarm, light fitting and looking at where the sockets need to be placed

As on all kitchen replacements the tenant has a choice of 3 colours to choose from, the units are either slate Grey with a matt or gloss finish, White with a gloss finish or Oak with a matt finish. 

The worktops available are Black or White and the tiles are all just standard white tiling.

All flooring fitted is non-slip texture and comes in a range of colours, the tenant will be shown a colour chart at the pre planning meeting.

The tenant on this project went with the Oak effect units, a black worktop and autumn beige flooring.

At the pre planning meeting colour choices will be agreed and added to the plan, once we have the kitchen plan digitally printed up, we will contact the tenant again to get an agreed plan signed off. 

Once we have sign off and an updated asbestos survey for the local authority we will contact the tenant again to arrange a start date for a kitchen replacement.

As you can see from the photos the unit doors no longer have drawers included, we now fit a unit of drawers, this is standard in all kitchen replacements for the local authority we currently work with.
